Stainless Steel Lighting Standard
6 and 8 Mastarms

The Model SMV is constructed from high strength type 201L stainless steel with an after fabrication minimum yield strength of 60,000 PSI. It is manufactured with either an attractive tapered octagonal or sixteen sided shaft in heights up to 50' and features a high rise tubular braced mast arm made of 2" pipe that reaches a full 3' 3" above the pole top. The pole is finished in an elegant, sandblasted frost finish that is maintenance-free or can optionally be painted a variety of colors. The SMV is ideal for street, roadway, sidewalk or area lighting. Typical applications are municipal parking lots, shopping centers or street and highway illumination.

Optional bases for the SMV are:

    The enclosed "H" base is cold formed from the same type 201L stainless steel as the pole shaft and is riveted and welded to a formed stainless steel base plate also made of type 201L stainless steel. The access door opening is 7" x 10 3/4" x 12 3/16" and is secured with two tamper-proof screws.

    The standard anchor "A" base is made from 3/4" to 1 1/4" thick, type 304L stainless steel plate and is welded to the pole shaft with two circumferential welds. The access handhole is 3" x 5" and is secured with a single tamper-proof screw.

    The stainless steel (AASHTO approved) breakaway "H" base is similar to the enclosed "H" base except that the base housing is fastened to the base plate with stainless steel rivets which are designed to shear under impact. (This base is designed to be replaced in the event of knockdown, allowing reuse of the pole shaft.) The access door opening is 7" x 10 3/4" x 12 3/16" and is secured with two tamper-proof screws.

Specifications:
The SMV Lighting Pole is manufactured from high strength American made type 201L stainless steel which is .0721 thickness with an after fabrication minimum yield strength of 60,000 PSI. The luminaire mastarm is constructed of two inch type 304L stainless steel pipe with a 2 3/8" O.D. slipfitter. Poles up to 35 in height will be furnished with a tapered octagonal shaft. Poles 35 to 50 are furnished with a sixteen sided tapered shaft. The anchor "A" base is made from 304L stainless steel plate. The enclosed "H" base and the base plate shall be fabricated of the same high strength 201L stainless steel as the shaft. The anchor bolts shall be galvanized at least 12" on the threaded end. Each anchor bolt shall include two galvanized nuts.
