Communication Poles

Single member, self-supporting structures are important in urban areas and where space is minimal. Communication poles are steel tapered poles specifically designed to carry communication equipment such as microwave antenna, cellular telephone system antenna, radar wind shear detection systems and other high mast transmitter equipment.

High strength steel poles up to 180 feet are constructed of telescoping tapered sections for easy on site assembly.The assembly design may include service platforms, equipment support brackets, internal wire supports, steps & pole climber,conduit hubs, reinforced hand holes at proper locations and a pole cap. This product is available with optional base design and finishes.

Finish
Choice of factory finish coat, self-weathering steel, prime coated for painting or galvanized.

Erection
Supplemental instruction sheets for proper assembly of the pole sections and for proper hoist rigging accompany each order. Optional factory supervision is available.

Anchor Base and Bolts
The base plates are uniquely cold rolled into a ring from solid steel bar stock, 50,000 PSI yield strength. Precision machined anchor bolt holes require no washers. Millerbernd manufactures its own anchor bolts using extra high strength A576 cold drawn, stress relieved steel with a yield strength of 115,000 PSI - the highest in the industry. Steel templates are furnished to assure proper bolt alignment. Optional bolt cluster assembly is available.

Shaft Material
American made high strength steel with minimum yield strength of 50,000 PSI; ultimate tensile strength 70,000 PSI.
