"A" Base
The flame-cut steel base plate is joined to the shaft with continuous exterior and interior welds. A hand hole measuring 4 x 6 inches provides access for making electrical connections. An interior frame of 1/2 inch by 1/2 inch bar steel reinforces the hand hole area. Handhole cover is tamper-proof. Unbreakable, corrosion-proof, low-density polyethylene nut covers with internal ring locks are driven on.

Stainless Steel
This gracefully tapered stainless steel base fits the Millerbernd stainless steel poles by slip fitting inside the pole shaft. The 27" high base has a flush handhole cover with tamper-proof screws. The tapered base conceals the anchor bolts and nuts for aesthetics and to discourage vandalism.

"H" Base
This exclusive Millerbernd design flows smoothly into the shaft, eliminating dust-catching fittings or crevices. Full penetration circumferential welds join the base to the shaft. Adjustable anchor bolts are concealed in the base, discouraging vandalism. Access door has reinforcing frame. The "H" base is available in bare "weathering" steel to match shaft material.

Special "H" base is available to fit existing bolt circles from 9 to 15 inches for re-lighting programs.

"T" Base
Millerbernds standard transformer-type base is recommended where generous ballast space is required. Door opening has a reinforcing steel frame and tamper-proof cover.

Standard Millerbernd "A" base pole mounts on top of the "T" base. Inverted bolts eliminate the need for nut covers, which also eliminates the moist environment under an enclosed nut cover, which can cause pole-damaging corrosion.

"G" Base
Recommended for installations where an unusually large ballast space is required. The door opening has a reinforcing frame and a tamper-proof cover. Millerbernd "A" base poles bolt to the top of this "G" base model. Adjustable anchor bolts are made of high-strength steel. Inverted bolts eniminate need for nut covers. The "G" base is available with a louvered door where extra ventilation is required.

Stainless Steel "H" Base
The progressive shear system introduced by Millerbernd has proved to be one of the safest and most reliable systems. The 50 ft. stainless steel pole and base with a 6 arm passed the 1985 AASHTO requirements with the least velocity change and the lowest remaining stub in a recent government sponsored test. This non-corrosive base fits the Millerbernd Stainless Steel poles up to 50 ft.

Aluminum Frangible Base
Distributed by Millerbernd, these precision cast aluminum bases are ideal for retro-fitting or new highway construction. Versatile bottom design makes it possible to meet nearly any bolt circle requirement. Bases are robotic welded, breakaway approved and fatigue tested. Base selection is by pole height, total weight and bolt circle.

Aluminum Support Couplings
The compact aluminum coupler assembly is ready for quick and easy attatchment to the vertical anchor bolts on existing concrete mounting bases or new foundations. These couplingsare used with anchor base poles up to 50 feet.

Wrap-around skirt available to cover area between base plate and the foundation.

Steel Slip Base
This safety base design is used on new highway installations. The Slip Base is fabricated from either carbon or weathering steel and welded to the pole shaft. Matching slip anchor plate, keeper plate and all the anchor bolt hardware are furnished with each pole. The Slip Base is approved for poles up to 50 feet and with various anchor bolt circles.
