Model “ST”
Stainless Steel Lighting Standard
Tenon Top Pole

The Model ST is a straight tapered one piece pole fitted with a standard 2 3/8" O.D. stainless steel tenon top. The pole shaft is formed into a tapered octagon in heights up to 35' and into a sixteen sided structure in heights 35' to 50'. The Model ST is constructed from high strength type 201L stainless steel with an after fabrication minimum yield strength of 60,000 PSI. Common applications are building entrance and walkway lighting or sidewalk and street lighting in urban malls.

Optional bases for the ST are:

    The enclosed "H" base is cold formed from the same type 201L stainless steel as the pole shaft and is riveted and welded to a formed stainless steel base plate also made of type 201L stainless steel.

    The standard anchor "A" base is made from 3/4” to 1 1/4” thick, type 304L stainless steel plate and is welded to the pole shaft with two circumferential welds.

    The stainless steel (AASHTO approved) breakaway “H” base is similar to the enclosed “H” base except that the base housing is fastened to the base plate with stainless steel rivets which are designed to shear under impact. (This base is designed to be replaced in the event of knockdown, allowing reuse of the pole shaft.)

Specifications:
The ST Lighting Pole is manufactured from high strength American made type 201L stainless steel which is .0721 thickness with an after fabrication minimum yield strength of 60,000 PSI. Poles up to 35’ in height will be furnished with a tapered octagonal shaft. Poles 35’ to 50’ are furnished with a sixteen sided tapered shaft. The anchor “A” base is made from 304L stainless steel plate. Anchor base poles shall be equipped with a 3” x 5” hand hole with a reinforced frame. The hand hole cover is secured with a single tamper-resistant screw. The enclosed “H” base and the base plate shall be fabricated of the same high strength stainless steel as the shaft. The “H” base interior is accessible through a flush-mounted service door with a reinforced opening. The service door is secured with tamper-resistant screws. The anchor bolts shall be galvanized at least 12” on the threaded end. Each anchor bolt shall include two galvanized nuts.
