Non-Breakaway & Breakaway Steel Bases

Millerbernd manufacturers a variety of steel bases, both non-breakaway and breakaway. These carbon steel bases are also available in weathering steel. The steel used in the base manufacture is the same kind as the pole. The standard base plate has round smoothed bolt holes that will require no washers. Detail drawings for a specific base are available.

Stainless Steel Transformer “T” Bases

Finally, a transformer base that can stand up to the harsh environments of roadways and street corners. If you are replacing existing transformer bases, because their bottom plates & sidewalls have been weakened by corrosion, you need the Millerbernd Stainless Steel Transformer Base!

Our stainless steel transformer base is built using type (201) 60,000 PSI stainless steel for the vulnerable skirt & bottom plate (where corrosion caused failures occur) and a low carbon steel 36,000 PSI top plate. Based on field experience with our stainless steel poles, Millerbernd engineers project an average lifetime three to four times longer than that of carbon steel transformer bases.
 

Screw-In-Anchor-Bases

Millerbernd’s screw-in-anchor-bases are designed for fast, one trip installation of lighting poles. They are quickly installed in minutes, using a standard Digger Derrick with a conventional Kelly Bar.

• 490A25-GV Screw-In-Anchor-Base (Suggested for 35’ to 40’ Poles**)
• 490A26-GV Screw-In-Anchor-Base (Suggested for 25’ to 30’ Poles**)
• 490A27-GV Screw-In-Anchor-Base (Suggested for up to 16’ Poles**)
• 490A29-GV Screw-In-Anchor-Base (Suggested for 20’ to 25’ Poles**)

** Base may support taller poles with shorter arms or tenon top; consent factory.

Steel Pole Finishes
